THE SOUL OF AMERICA, WOUNDED BUT NOT DESTROYED
The presidential election far more than an race for leaders – it was a referendum on the soul of America. Every patriotic, pro-morality, trusting, and faithful American has reason to be deeply concerned and saddened by the outcome of this election. 50% vs 50% is overwhelming split evenly… yet the electoral hammer drove the nail in the conservative coffin.
For the first time in our history, a plurality of Americans voted for a party platform that intentionally omitted God and advanced many positions that the Bible specifically condemns while 30 million Christians stayed home. Another 3 million wrote in Jesus Christ name rather than stand in the gap for religious freedom and Godly values as established by our Founding Fathers.
The America we knew has changed, because the values of many Americans have changed. Millions of Americans did not see evil and adopted it with eyes wide open: Abortion, same-sex marriage, and immorality and threats to religious freedom carried the day. The Godly values on which America was founded were set aside because of entitlement, selfishness…unbalanced by biblical truth and commitment to Jesus Christ.
Race, ethnicity and entitlement overrode values. The America we love is sick and in need of renewal and healing. It is no longer politically correct to VOTE BIBLE Values…
We must press forward. God calls us to be faithful, prayerful and active… no matter the consequences. We might be a Wilberforce in England who saw the fruit of his labor (the abolition of slavery and reformation of morals), but died soon after, never seeing the results. We may be an Esther… who put her life on the line to save a nation.
Consequences of the Choices made this week:
□ More children will die.
□ Marriage will come under greater attack.
□ Immorality will be exalted.
□ America could easily collapse under the weight of escalating economic debt.
□ Islam will be emboldened.
□ Our military will become weaker.
□ Israel will not have as strong an ally as it needs at this critical time.
□ The world will become a more dangerous place.
But, when Christians are down or broken, that is the time to fight all the harder as the Holy Spirit gives strength for the battle! There is NOTHING impossible for God. He is our Rope of Hope! He is calling His people to serve Him. He will not abandon US!
Our mission is to:PRAY… then Get UP, Get OUT, Go TELL! Jesus is alive!
