What is it like to be hopelessly lost in uncertainty? Utterly alone, lost, disoriented – even terrified. That is the truest picture of existence apart from God. More than a billion people live in lostness, today.
Sounds desperate, but the good news is…God’s greatest desire is that we seek Him so that He can show us the way to safety & security in Him. Fortunately, he does not rest until we find our way to Him.
The purposes of God is that we be saved and restored to relationship with him. That is why the whole community of heaven rejoices when one sinner is found and restored to fellowship with God. God is on a rescue mission today to save us from the destructive forces of sin and evil. Jesus, the Good Shepherd, watches over every step we take.
Only God can seek & save you and I, so what is our response to God? When we hear him call, do we Say Yes? We purpose our lives to: Seek God’s will; Ask first for His purposes to be lived out through us; and, we persist in knocking at His heart to lay hold of the promises of God.
□ Seek a relationship first
□ Seek to walk in His light
□ Seek His will above your own
□ Asking is the key, God’s way
□ Ask not = have not, James 4:2
□ Ask for God’s grace and guidance, 1 John 1:5
□ Knock on behalf of God’s heart
□ Knock on behalf of others & the lost
Knocking on heaven’s door on behalf of our country, families, friends and the lost is a ministry to which every Christian is called.
James 1:5 “If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him”.
